Cant acces usb disk after updating windows

When the USB connector and socket mate completely the USB flash drive should appear. Because it has attracted low-quality or spam answers that had to be removed, posting an answer now requires 10 reputation on this site (the association bonus does not count).
Is it possible when the usb flash drive was installed and the computer was put into hibernate that the system also (in some way) put the flash drive into hebernate and that is where the damage occurred. I'm using Disk Part to format it, but still have no success.
I have never used hibernation so I have no experience with it. But, Never heard of a flash drive going into hibernate. Only suggestion left is to have disk check check it.
