Event viewer security log not updating
I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. The Group Policy settings for Default Domain Controllers are as per the attachment yet the security event log shows only a handful of events despite there being numerous issues with one user account being locked out - I have twice gone through the steps: disabling the event log service, rebooting, renaming the security event log file, re-enabling the service and re-booting which generates a new security event viewer log file but no entries appear after the initial logs. It sounds like everything is doing what it is set to do, but it is set incorrectly maybe for what you want? The GPO's were migrated to this domain from another. I looked at your screens and it seems like I want to look in the one labeled "...Right now all my Event Viewer is doing is logging JUST the DCOM error entries. I wonder if evt file corruption is a regular feature on most XP systems, or if there's something which is hosed in my system..which case, it's probably going to happen again.
Add User To Event Log Custom SD(log Name, domain, account, mask); In my experience, the most common problem in writing to event logs is that the user does not have sufficient permission to write to the event log.
Please help me figure out a way to view all logon details to the systems.
I built a 2012 R2 server which is acting as a DC, DNS, KMS and CA. Security Options" which I believe remains closed in all screens you provided.
Many thanks in advance if you are able to be more specific here.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly.
I do not want to debug the service since it is a painful process. The messages need to be read by the service and written to a database.
